The Carolina Bowl Combine has been created for ANY 4th thru 8th-grade athlete (not participating in the 2020 Carolina Bowl) to experience a fun-filled, four-hour NFL-style workout. Athletes attending this Combine will participate in an afternoon training combine at Duke University’s Yoh Indoor Practice Facility and receive player access (plus one ticket) to Saturday’s lineup of Carolina Bowl Games on Brooks Field in Duke’s Wallace Wade Football Stadium. At registration on Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Duke University stadium concourse, each combine participant will be issued a custom-designed compression shirt and performance shorts to wear during the combine.
The combine workout encompasses football measurable skills, to include the forty-yard dash, standing broad jump, three-cone lateral quickness drill, L-Cone agility drill, and the short shuttle. These drills will test each player’s agility, quickness, speed, change of direction and conditioning. These are standard measurable tests that your athlete will be asked to perform for the next several years as a developing football player. After the measurable testing session, the combine participants will then be put through “position-specific” training drills by our outstanding high school coaching staff. These drills will help them improve their technique and football IQ. But wait, we are not done yet, we also have a “1 on 1” period for our combine participants to demonstrate the drills that they were most recently taught and demonstrate how competitive they are. Following the “1 on 1” period, we will have closing remarks and awards, as some combine participants will be invited to The Crucible Select Camp…and some combine participants to the 2021 Carolina Bowl! Lastly, we will reward each combine participant with a Carolina Bowl game ticket for Saturday, January 4, 2020. The ticket will allow the holder admission to ALL games held on Saturday. This combine is for all levels of football experience, so beginners are both welcomed and encouraged. All combine participants are asked to “Pre-Register” digitally using the below link.
